Art Workshops at Penrith Regional Gallery Back On
Wednesday Drawing School
Penrith Regional Gallery is happy to announce that art-making workshops Art Attack Saturdays and Wednesday Drawing School will resume for Term Three onsite at the Gallery from Saturday 1 August and Wednesday 5 August. Inspiration for these classes comes from the Gallery’s current exhibition, Dream Realised, and from the Gallery’s heritage garden.
Art Attack Saturdays is a mixed media class that runs from 10am – 12noon where students aged 5 – 9 can unleash their creativity across a variety of mediums and techniques as they paint, draw, sculpt, and construct a range of work they can take home and be proud of. In Art Attack Saturdays, students will gain confidence in artmaking with a variety of materials whilst harnessing their vocabulary and art appreciation skills. Classes begin from Saturday 1 August and run until 19 September. Cost is $180 for the term.
In Wednesday Drawing School, students aged 8-12 can explore a variety of materials including graphite, charcoal, and oil pastel to learn about composition and perspective through a series of fun and interactive observational artmaking lessons. Wednesday Drawing School runs from 4pm – 5.30pm from 5 August to 23 September and costs $180 for the term.
For art-making workshops in Term Three, the Gallery has enhanced health, safety and hygiene following strict guidelines. Social distancing signage, sanitising stations and regular cleaning measures will be in place to ensure the safety of participants, carers and staff. Participants and their carers will also be asked to complete a COVID safe questionnaire at the time of booking and again on arrival to the classes.
