Wear a red dress, red stockings, black belt (wig and make up optional)
You are invited to dust off your red dress and dancing shoes and gather on the misty moors of the Woodford Reserve at 1pm on Saturday 13 July for The Most Wuthering Heights Day Ever 2019, a homage to British pop sensation Kate Bush and her 1978 hit Wuthering Heights.

Originating at the 2013 Brighton Fringe Festival 300 ‘Kates’ performed Bush’s ethereal dance from the original clip in an open field. Hosted by Choreographer, Georgina Khoo from Shine Dance School this free event is also a fundraiser for the upper Blue Mountains Women’s Health Centre. All donations on the day gratefully appreciated.

Costumed "Kates" will be entitled to discounted entry to the Woodford Academy Museum & Café on the day which is also the last opportunity to view artist/graphic designer Greg Bakes' wonderful exhibition 'Buss's Gold'. Guests can also enjoy a 'Golden Ale' courtesy of Katoomba Brewing Company as well as delicious cakes, light lunches, tea and coffee at the Academy café.

We hope to gather the most "Kates" possible and re-create the Wuthering Heights experience en masse. So Blue Mountains, Western Sydney and Central West "Kates" this is the gothic gathering for you. Make your place in music history and be part of this global nonsensical event.

As a volunteer managed National Trust property, all proceeds from Woodford Academy open days and events directly contributes to the conservation of the Blue Mountains oldest building.
